The Stanley Feldberg New Initiatives Fund PDF Print E-mail

The Stanley Feldberg New Initiatives Fund was created in 2004 in order to honor the late Stanley Feldberg and all of those, who have made a difference by looking beyond convention. The New Initiatives Fund gives financial support to commission and play new works of music, including support to commission and play new works of music, including those written specially for CBMF, and focuses on innovative ways to feature the performing arts of our time.

This summer the fund helps support the commission of a clarinet quintet by New York based composer Patricia Leonard and the American premiere of Daniel Schyder's Concerto for Clarinet with artist-in-residence Eddie Daniels.
The Clarinet Concerto will be performed together with the Festival Symphony Orchestra on July 18th, and the world premiere of the Clarinet Quintet will take play on July 22nd.

Crested Butte Music Festival is grateful to Theodora Feldberg and her family and hopes you will support this idea by remembering Stan or someone you know who has made a difference with a new initiative of his or her own. Your gift will pay tribute to the individual of your choice and will support innovation at our wonderful Crested Butte Music Festival.
