The Opera Children's Chorus gives children and young adults, ages 7-18, the opportunity prepare and perform in concert and operatic works during a three-week residency at the Crested Butte Music Festival. Under the guidance of the distinguished faculty listed below, students are immersed in the rigorous and rewarding life of an opera children's chorus, developing critical musical and personal skills they can use their entire lives. For the 2013 program, the Opera Children's Chorus will present Hans Krasá's "Brundibár" in a double-bill with the Marcello Giordani Young Artist Program, along with a special children's version of Gilbert and Sullivan's classic "The Pirates of Penzance."

Linda Gelinas, Dance and Movement PDF Print E-mail
linda_gelinas Linda Gelinas, originally from New Hampshire, received her formal training at the Boston Ballet School and the Joffrey Ballet School, where she was awarded a scholarship at the age of 15.
Linda is presently a dancer, as well as, dance captain with the Metropolitan Opera. Throughout her career at the Met, she has performed numerous principal and soloist roles. She was a member of the Eglevsky Ballet under the direction of Edward Villella, she performed with Edward Villella and Dancers, The Pavlova Celebration Tour, the New Jersey Ballet, Boston Reperatory and more. Linda also performed the role of Louise in a New England tour of Carousel.
